So what is that teal ribbon and why aren't women and the general public more knowledgeable about its meaning? Ovarian Cancer. Also called the silent killer, it is the most deadliest of all gynecological cancers, though nor silent.

Women have not been taught about symptoms and often falsely believe their symptoms to be nothing of concern only to learn too late they have a late stage form of this cancer.

I have many friends who suffer from this horrific stealer of life. I have felt helpless, I have felt anger and grief. But what can you do except spread the word, right? Wrong!

Amethyst Bridals is determined to do more than just spread awareness. We want you to help us kick cancer in the rear! By hiring local designers and seamstresses, we will design a line of beautiful Teal Bridal Gowns and wedding party dresses. One of a kind wedding dresses, our very own collection of these gowns.

For each sold we will donate 25% or more to Ovarian Cancer research, awareness, medical and financial care to help raise awareness about this deadly form of cancer and provide some relief from financial burden. These woman carry too much already without having to worry about bills, medicine, rent and other money issues.

You can help us reach our goal to save thousands of lives just by donating. Each teal colored gown will be named after a woman who has received her teal wings or who is still fighting.

A year from now we want woman and man in Texas to know what the teal ribbon is and that is just the beginning. Please help support our cause.

Once a year we would love to give the teal bride her dream wedding gown, her own creation.

Eventually we want to include wig makers, make up artists, event planners, all inclusive honeymoons in the 48 states with special accommodations just for our teal brides (past and present) bakers, caters, photographers. Everything a bride could want and more.

Through your donations we can hire local designers, create and design teal gowns, take our gowns to bridal shows across the 48 states and give our special brides a very special dress designed with love.

This is just our beginning in awareness and donations to research. Do it for your Mother, Your Sister, your Daughter, your Aunt, your Grandmother, your wife. Do it for every woman.

$10,000 will be used to buy silks, satins, swarovski crystals, French lace, appliques and some organic cottons for our Teal Eco Friendly gowns. Our seamstresses will then begin to design gowns for our Teal Line. $10,000 will purchase new equipment and updated Laptops for designers.

$20, 000 is our budget for photographers and models (every day women) PR and a bridal booth at NYC next year.

Least but not last $10,000 will go toward a year's lease.
