Newly engaged Brides
Did you know 35% off all engagements occur between Christmas and New Years?
That is why January kicks of bridal season. You would have to be living in a shell if you haven't noticed the TV ads, print ads, flyers and promotions geared for newly engaged couples.
If you are one of those newly engaged couples and plan on attending a bridal show this seaon I have some advice for you.
Bridal shows are meant to be fun, exciting and informative. Go and enjoy yourself and get some ideas. There will be hundreds of vendors for you to look at get pricing information. Most of them will have a show special which if you book or give a deposit at the show you will receive a discount. This seems like a great deal but think twice before booking. When you sign a contract or book at a show you most likely will be held to their contract.
When you are a newly engaged couple it is important you take your time and weigh all your options, you may sign with DJ and later decide you would like live music. You could also sign with a vendor only to realize later they are not the right fit for you. You may sign with a company and come to find out later they have complaints filed with the BBB.
Remember most reputable companies will give you the discount later if you ask and tell them you saw them at the bridal show.
The most important thing is to slow down and relax, there are plenty of qualified vendors out there so take the time and do your research.
Remember you only have one wedding so don't rush it. Take your time and you will enjoy the wedding of your dreams.
