New Hampshire weddings - name it - we've got it!

Being a native, of course I LOVE New Hampshire! But apparently, so do many brides and grooms - we have become such a popular location for destination weddings. Over half of the weddings I provide services for are for out of state couples who look forward to their dream day in our wonderful state. The varieties of couples who choose New Hampshire for their wedding are as diverse as the seasons here, and the venues available. It's so exciting to work with them to help create their perfect day -

Of course, our scenery is fantastic 90 per cent of the year (except for those few weekes between foliage and the first snow!) - spring breathes new life into the landscape and is a wonderful backdrop to starting a new life together as a couple. Great opportunity to use delicate wedding colors like pale greens, pinks, ivory and lilacs - hints of colors showing the promise of brighter things to come!

Summer is extremely busy with weddings on the seacoast, from a casual beach wedding at Odiorne State Park in Rye, to the elegant Wentworth By the Sea, or the timeless Exeter Inn. The White Mountains also offer opportunities for grand events at our grand hotels (Mountain View Grand, Mt. Washington Hotel, and the Balsams), or rustic receptions at more private venues with fabulous views of our beautiful mountain range. Don't forget the Lakes region, with spots like the Castle in the Clouds and Steele Hill Resort that offer a mountaintop view of Lake Winnipesaukee, or the Margate Resort, with its' private beach and dock facilities - perfect place for a tented event right on the big lake! Summer wedding often bring bright bold colors like hot pinks, oranges and lime greens, as well as all shades of blue, from ice blue and aquas, to royal and navy blue. Traditional themes in white or ivory are still always popular for total elegance and glamour.

Fall foliage season is the most coveted season for a New Hampshire wedding, and is usually booked as far in advance as possible - no wonder why, it is absolutely glorious! When the sun hits the trees with the varieties of shades of reds, yellows and oranges, we soak it in, and understand why people travel from around the world to experience it! What a fabulous backdrop for your dream day! Off season ski resorts are great places for your fall wedding as well as private homes and farms. Browns, greens, golds, copper, oranges and burgundy work perfectly with the fall palette as well as natural materials like birch bark and dried plants.

Many brides dream of being a princess at a winter wonderland wedding, which is definitely for the brave heart! Imagine being bundled up in an elegant cloak, riding with your Prince Charming through the snow in a horse drawn sleigh as the snow drifts down! Then an intimate reception, with old world elegance, maybe with pewter and plum colors, or black and ivory or white, jazzed up with bold red!

As you can see, New Hampshire has so many choices available, it's no wonder it's so popular for destination weddings. Brides and grooms who grew up here couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else, and many others have wonderful childhood memories of summers at the lakes, winters on the slopes, or trips to see the foliage.
