Naomi Campbell gave the traditional garment a contemporary touch at the 2023 Met Gala

The Met Gala 2023 looks are in and for a designer costume party like this one, we're spoiled for choice. While you'd expect South East Asian origin celebrities to go the desi route on the red carpet, it might come as a surprise who actually did. Supermodel Naomi Campbell arrived at the 2023 Met Gala in a gown which could easily pass off as a contemporary take on the ethnic garment.

Naomi picked Chanel for the event and wore a pink saree. The fluid satin outfit was pleated across her body and pinned at the shoulder. It was accented with metallic silver shaved details at strategic points of the outfit. Beneath, Naomi wore a sleeveless silver blouse, also made of the same silver shaved detailing. Her accessories comprised of silver bracelets and a cocktail ring with dangling earrings.

Her supermodel charm was very visible in Naomi's makeup choices. Her sleek black hair was worn centre-parted and straight. Her chiseled face looked exceptional with a touch of blush and lip tint. Naomi's skin glowed while exaggerated winged eyeliner added a femme finish.
