My First Choice Wedding Experience as a Guest

It’s the day after Sophie’s wedding and we’re lying blissfully hungover listening to Spotify’s perfect song playlist generator and eating Pizza on the floor of Malta’s 18th-century Palazzo Parisio.

Yesterday, my best friend Sophie took vows next to dramatic Gothic arches in Malta. The most treasured friends and family from two different coasts were flown together to go nuts in the middle of the dance floor on this tiniest European country/island.

Everyone always says your wedding is the best day of your life, and now I know why. Having every single person that we love in a single room, laughing, and hugging, and dancing made me wanted to cry from happiness.

First Choice changed my view about wedding planning services. The experience with them was unforgettable.

Not only did Julie (our wedding organizer) take care of the essentials - food, photography, rentals, design/décor, musicians, hair-dresser and make-up artist, she also made sure that all the 20 guests find their hotel and get to the right venue on time. She was available on the phone 24/7 for 7 days, making sure every one is taken care of, so we could just get into holiday mode and relax.

Not everything can go perfectly, so when we found out the car we rented wasn't able to make it to the venue, we were organized another similar car in no time.

And the best bit of the whole day was a total surprise! First Choice organized funny, sincere, and deeply personal songs, poems and speeches for the newlyweds. It was just brilliant and witty.

Funnily enough, the ceremony itself wasn't the most expensive part of the wedding, which is quite ironic because we seriously considered it priceless. First Choice took all the stress out of planning

If you live in the UK, I would definitely recommend getting married abroad– it’s much cheaper and is refreshing experience. If Sophie and George were to have the same wedding in the UK, it would cost much more. Wedding abroad also guarantees sunshine, which is always a bonus.
