It’s so easy, I almost can’t stand it. This is perfect for an intimate ceremony and if you don’t want to worry about the mess of cutting a wedding cake. Not to mention that you can actually personalize each cake! The Mini cakes should do it for 1-2 guests, depending on the size of the can (this recipe calls for a soup can).
But besides the guests, here’s where this idea is genius. The top tier of a cake is usually saved for the 1 year anniversary. It’s frozen, but then do you actually eat it? It’s a year old people, frozen or not! Clearly, I’m not a fan of this tradition. So instead of that, I propose the happy couple make their own mini cake together. At the ceremony, enjoy it or spread icing all over each other. Then on your 1 year anniversary, dig out the recipe, make the same cake together, and enjoy. Oh how sweet it is…
