Luxury Included - The Sandals Experience

Recently, due to the lovely WPIC (www.wpic.ca), I had the opportunity to travel through Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, Jamaica and explore several of the Sandals, Beaches, and Royal Plantation resorts. I am now going to walk you through each resort and all the wonderful experiences and knowledge that I gained from this trip. Maybe you to will want to experience Sandals Luxury Included Resorts... You really have to at least once!!!!!!

We landed in Montego Bay, Jamaica on March 30, 2009. That is were our Sandals experience began. While we waited for our bus transfer to the resort we got to relax in the Sandals airport lounge. Cool, with comfy seats and of course the infamous Red Stripe on tap, it was a nice snippet of the kind of service that would be extended throughout for the duration of our stay.

Our transfer over to the resort was not only beautiful, with the beautiful scenic views of the blue sea, gorgeous mountains, lustrous gardens, but also quite entertaining. Our driver played great music, gave us some quick tours, and stopped at a local market for some souvenir shopping and delicious jerk chicken!

We arrive at Grande and the check-in process is easy and concise. The resort is huge! There are to sides to this resort the Manor and the Riviera with several room categories at both ends. I had the privilege of staying on the Manor side in a Villa suite at concierge level. The room was beautiful! A one-bedroom suite with balcony, mahogany furniture, and a welcome towel animal on the bed! Our jitney driver even gave you a small tour of your suite, how to use the suite, and the number to call when you need a pick up. For all those out there who have a palette for fine liqueurs and wine concierge level is for you! They offer you a selection of bottles to choose from right in your own private suite! Which also gives you great gifts to take home!

Every Monday Sandals Grande Ocho Rios hosts a large welcome dinner for all the resort guests! There was a PHENOMENAL selection of food, drinks, and desserts. Live music, dancers, and performers, with a fashion show! Sandals can really throw a welcome party!!
