Lifestrummer brings your love story to life!

Lifestrummer Inc. is an innovative start-up company that is creating exciting offerings for the wedding industry. The company’s concept involves couples sharing their love story, collaborating with the company’s lead artist, Kalpesh Patel and transforming it into a wonderful work of art. By using inputs from the couple and adding a splash of drama, adventure and comic relief, Kalpesh creates a hand-drawn, intimate and organic interpretation of their love story in the comic book style. 

Disha Choudhary from Mumbai who had her wedding invites created by Lifestrummer explained “While I am mindful of culture and tradition, I also want my wedding to reflect my personality. I have always loved comic books so when I came across Lifestrummer, I got in touch with them and we worked together to create a personalized and fun rendition of our love story. Once I saw the output, I had to share it with everyone! I decided to do away with old style wedding invites and go in for something a lot more personalized and a lot more ME.” 

Lifestrummer’s business is conducted online so customers come to the site, create an account, upload their photographs and share their story. The artist then reviews the story and calls the couple in order to get further details that may be added in the story. He then creates a blueprint which is reviewed by the customer and then moves along to inking, shading and coloring. Voila! The end result is a personalized, eternal and unique work of art created especially for you based on your love story! 

The applications for an idea like this are many. Couples can use it as an electronic comic book that they can share with their friends on facebook, or as animated videos and slide shows that can be showed on a screen at their wedding function, or as save-the-date cards and wedding invites and guestbooks. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! 

Meena Nanji from Toronto says, “We were looking for a unique idea for a “Save the Date” card for our wedding – Lifestrummer to the rescue!  The comic book Save the Date that Lifestrummer designed for us was a hit – everyone loved it! Lifestrummer’s artist was able to capture expressions that were totally unique to both me and my fiancé.  We described our vision, and Lifestrummer brought it to life.”

Lifestrummer is a Toronto-based art studio started by a couple, Kamna Mirchandani and Kalpesh Patel, who chanced upon the idea when they started creating art work based on their own love story. Kalpesh, the artist and Kamna, a recent MBA graduate knew they were onto something when they saw the reactions they got from friends and family about their weekly comic book series titled “Kimi + Kal Adventures”. “Before we knew it, we decided to take the plunge and do this for other couples! It’s just an amazing feeling to know that something you worked on can bring happiness in someone’s life. It’s a really collaborative process, our customer’s vision and insights really shape the artwork”, says Kalpesh. Kamna adds “We are storytellers, weaving stories of love, friendship, hope, connections and more. We are always grateful to meet people who trust us with their stories. As gatekeepers of these beautiful stories, we promise to handle them with great care!”
