There are so many color hues that grab our attention and excite us, whether it is heart-throb red, midnight blue, or cheerful yellow. If you haven’t been paying attention, this year and upcoming season is all about the chic color of purple. I am really excited about this color coming to the forefront because it is so beautiful, majestic, and it is my favorite color! As you shop in your favorite clothing store, browse for your favorite publication in the magazine aisle, or watch celebrities walk the red carpet, you will notice that this color is stylishly in and is here to stay. Well, you may be wondering what does this color mean or represent? Purple is a color that is associated with royalty, wealth, power, ambition, independence, and creativity. Do you see why it is my favorite color? (Just kidding!).

With so many shades to choose from; lavender, plum, eggplant, lilac, violet, grape, mauve, mulberry, wine, and so many more; you can create a wedding and that is so lavishly purple!

All of these shades can be incorporated into the design of your wedding. Here’s how:

Wedding Dress: Yes, your dress does not have to be white! You can have a subtle reflection of lilac, lavender, or even eggplant if you are brave enough!

Invitations: Remember that your invitations will give a glimpse to your guests of what they are to expect at your wedding. Incorporate your color scheme and they will be so excited to join you on your wedding day.

Reception & Decor: The reception and decor is where you can be creative from the flowers, centerpieces, bouquets, favors, linens, etc. By using different shades of this wonderful color you can create dramatic layers and texture.

Signature Drinks: The bartender at your venue can whip up a tasty drink that is oh so purple. How about a Purple Haze Martini that contains POM pomegranate juice, hypnotiq, and pineapple juice. Delicious!
