Good Day!
As a wedding vendor in a Bridal Shop, I get a lot of questions on how to lose weight-FAST! It is an all too familiar scene, and a dangerously bad one. You can wreck your health doing crash dieting or starving yourself. The worst is you will not enjoy yourself on your day due to feeling ill, and you may gain a lot more weight when you think you can return to your "regular" eating habits. Not so! If you really want to play it safe, and reap some amazing rewards with a month left on the clock, A PLANT BASED DIET and EXERCISE is the way to go!! Sure most people are not going to like the idea of giving up their foods for something healthier. But know that those foods and lack of exercise are probably what got you where you are now, and you need the change to get the results you want.
Crash dieting or trying to do a bunch of workouts with hardly any food is very dangerous. The body needs nutrients, and when you mess with your system you risk a trip to the hospital or worse. People think they can handle extreme measures, but with the lack of nutrients and exercise most people experience these days only makes a normally bad move ever more threatening. Kidney failure, heart attack, dehydration, stroke all can be brought on by putting the body through extreme measures for the sake of vanity. Don't procrastinate about fitting into your dress, ESPECIALLY if you went ahead and ordered one too small because you thought that would motivate you into actually losing weight. I have seen a number of brides just devastated because they failed to focus and do the work. They refused to give up eating and drinking what they were used too, and thought working out was not for them, or was too uncomfortable to continue. Truth be told ladies, you have to plan for the workout, and for the eating better than you do now. Don't slack on your health, or on the way your dress should fit. Do something about it, and factor that in with the flowers, the caterer, and the dress when you are planning your wedding. Study the subject yourself, or hire a professional. And PLEASE don't go by the old, " My friend told me..." or " I read somewhere..." and think it is fact unless your friend is a Fitness Trainer, and the read somewhere part is " The Engine 2 Diet ", by Rip Esselstyn. A great book with information, recipes, and workout information to give you a great "dent" in what you need if you are serious about actually reaching your goal for your big day. In my opinion, the best get in shape book on the market, and it is really healthy, too! Always remember to check with your doctor before starting any diet and exercise program, as you may have a serious illness or injury you may not be aware of. Always be safe and healthy.
