L + I - Catholic Fort Worth Wedding - Monica Salazar Photography

Lupe or Lupita as I call her, actually contacted me a month before her wedding day to ask me to capture her special day. Although, we didn’t get the chance to shoot all the sessions as planned before the wedding, plans are in place for a later date for a TTD/Bridal.

Lupe and Isai’s wedding started off with their Spanish ceremony at San Mateo Catholic Church in Fort Worth. After their ceremony we made a pit stop by our grandparents house so that she could visit with them, since they weren’t able to attend the ceremony or reception. Our grandparents were delighted to see them and gave them their blessing as they headed off to the reception. The reception venue was at Las Ranitas and they have a reception room within the restaurant. As we walked in, there was ambient lighting and a lot of burnt orange and browns around the room. Her tables all had fresh flowers, but the favorite item on each table were Reese’s Pieces in champagne glasses. Let’s just say those didn’t last very long. As the reception started the mariachi arrived and had the couple dance to one of their songs. Shortly after that, they set off the dance floor with the father-daughter dance to a Vicente Fernandez song. Followed by Lupe and Isai’s first dance and then just off to more dancing through the night. They had the traditional vivora de la mar and all the men decided to take a detour to the bar and each came back with a beer in hand and an extra one for the groom. After that it was party time for the bride and groom and a lot of dancing and fun for all the guests.
