Kareena Kapoor Khan’s exuded grace and glamour in a carmine red heirloom saree

A celebration of traditional and modern crafts, Kareena Kapoor Khan graced a recent awards ceremony, looking radiant in a custom mulberry satin silk saree featuring a real gold zari laffa border and chintz motifs designed by Kshipra Singh Jadon.

The heirloom saree in a rich shade of carmine red exuded grace and elegance, as Kareena paired the six yards of sheer elegance with a backless blouse styled by celebrity stylist Lakshmi Lehr. The halter neck blouse in the matching colour looked bold and sexy and complemented the traditional saree draped on Bollywood’s favourite diva. Kareena, known for her love for Indian silhouettes, embraced the statement piece and looked like royalty on the red carpet.

Draped to perfection, the highlight of Kareena’s saree was the unique threadwork and embellishments used to enhance this exquisite piece. Decoding the intricate motifs which were purely hand beaded, used pitta and zardozi with our signature 3D textures using custom shaded sequin, French knot techniques and mukaish. Kareena completed her red carpet look with a simple hairstyle featuring a neat bun and minimal dangling earrings. Making the saree a hero, this heroine definitely won hearts on the red carpet and on stage with her performance.
