Introducing… FEATHERLOCKS, Wedding Hair Styles for the Bride by Lauren

April 20th, 2011

Featured Bride Lauren W., Wedding Location: Wayzata, MN | Wedding Date: October 8, 2011

Featured Bride Lauren found fabulous new unique Wedding Hair Accessories for her big day. What do you think? We love them!

You may have already heard about the latest hair-craze… but if you’re slower like me, this is a new concept/idea to you! One that I intend to integrate into our Wedding! This again, is for the daring bride… not necessarily the cookie-cutter/traditional bride… (continue reading to see a picture of Featherlocks)

So, “what the heck is she talking about?!” is probably what is on your mind. Well… Featherlocks are hair feather extensions for the hair that come in a variety of colors and patterns. They are really gorgeous and add a lot of depth to the hair and creative energy. (which I love). Here is an example:

Now, how cool is that?!

Bold. Beautiful. AND they curl/crimp/straighten… you name it. How neat would a loose updo look with some of these puppies in them? I will be doing a loose half-up do for my big day, and am excited to use some featherlocks within it.

Now, some of you may be asking – “Okay, where can I get this and how expensive are they?” – GOOD NEWS. You can get them right in St. Paul and across the Metro at many amazing salons. One being – Ficocello’s! Ficocello’s charges $10/featherlock up to two, then each additional is just $5. A cheap, fun way to jive up your current do and even go off and make your Wedding hair even more indescribable.

Have fun!!
