Forget Dr Who and his
Time
And
Relative
Dimensions in
Space I have discovered something far more amazing.
It's called Bride Time and it is the almost astonishing way that time disappears between your engagement and your wedding. Literally just a snap of fingers and "poof" you are two weeks from your wedding and from what I am experiencing of this unexplained phenomena, it doesn't slow down once you reach the two weeks prior, in fact the opposite occurs. Time starts to speed up.. there seem to be less hours in the day, less time to get things done.
Surely the world's top brains are on this, trying to figure out how two people can go from one simple proposal to a huge wedding full of guests, flowers, table arrangements, (not to mention the debt) almost unconscious to the effects?
When Mickey and I got engaged it seemed like a wedding was forever away. "2009? That so a year and a half away, plenty of time!" Now we are just over two weeks to M-Day and I can't really remember a time in my life when something has had my attention and dedication for so long.
Obviously, those people who have had children will know differently..
So sitting in front of my computer, both excited and gleefully anxious about the big day, my advise to all brides. Book early, Start early and plan early. You may think it ridiculous to have food/hair/makeup trials too far out from the wedding but when you are in the final few days - there are far more things that eat into your time.
Get organised!
