The campus is nestled in the gorgeous foothills where you are surrounded by every kind of culture, food, and community. It's a true urban melting pot.

As a bride, there are a few select locations for a wedding celebration and this urban chic couple found a way to incorporate the best of Berkeley into their special day. The Hotel Shattuck is a classic example of "everything that is old is new again." The small boutique hotel was recently acquired by the BPR Properties, a hospitality group that specializes in luxury boutique hotels with refined service.

The renovation was a challenge as they wanted to revamp the interior spaces while keeping the history and historic architecture of Berkeley's first hotel intact. As the vibrant celebration pictured above can attest, the results are breathtaking. Sleek modern amenities are paired with a flair for the dramatic and glamorous. The white marble floors are in complete contradiction with the inlaid ebony peace sign that welcomes your guests.

The beautiful serene wooded setting you see in the ceremony background is an amazing Redwood amphitheater located just up the hill from Hotel Shattuck in the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. Picture yourself in the center of the grove-filtered sun trickling past the giant Redwood forest that surrounds you. Just gorgeous.
