Summary

The little brick church on the corner of Lyon and Washington Streets can be misleading. Resting quietly in the refined neighborhood of Pacific Heights, this simple chapel and surrounding garden is a virtual who's who of early California history. Contributions by famed California architect, Bernard Maybeck, nature artist, William Keith, and a stained glass window by 19th century artist, Bruce Porter, complete the roster. The amazing overall artisan design is inspired from the "Arts and Crafts" movement of the late 1800's and gives any bride an amazing backdrop for a fairytale celebration.

The Swedenborgian Church is the perfect ceremony venue for someone looking for old world charm and romance. A great location that is easily accessible from the majority of San Francisco for those couples having a reception at a downtown location. The Church is especially warm and cozy with a fire in the fireplace. The architecture and design takes you to another world - I'm often reminded of a Swiss chalet in the Alps, right here in San Francisco. More to come!!
