Summary

The club's Spanish mission style architecture sets the tone for a variety of music options. Guests may enjoy listening to a traditional Mariachi band or possibly even a flamenco guitarist while sampling cocktails and appetizers out on the brick plaza. If you choose to host your ceremony in the chapel just a few feet away, break with tradition and have your performers lead your wedding processional down the hill to the Golden Gate Club. Your guests will love being a part of the performance!

The Ventana Room invites a variety of musical offerings for your celebration. It is one of the few San Francisco locations featuring a professional stage with in-house sound and lighting systems, and the unique presence of a green room allows you the rare option of showcasing multiple performers. You can even build your band gradually by introducing them in stages as the evening progresses. Maybe start with just a pianist and a single vocalist for an hour of light jazz during dinner, then bring in the rest of the band to get your guests on their feet.

For a venue of this size, the stage is a definite plus for your reception. The professional lighting is fabulous, especially since it doesn’t cost extra, and the built-in house sound system offers you the opportunity to have piped-in background music while performers are on breaks. The stage elevates your performers so that you get the effect of being at a hip club in addition to allowing you to maximize your seating, since you don’t need to give up any of your precious floor real estate. The stage also offers the perfect place for toasts or soloists. Be careful though, as the high vaulted ceilings and full glass wall do pose challenges to your entertainers. The room, although stunning in appearance, can be reverberant if not properly monitored.
