Overview

Inn of the Sun is the French translation for Auberge du Soleil, which has been enticing couples and their families with warm hospitality and a bit of Provenance flair for over 25 years. Set high above the Napa Valley's fertile floor, this unique inn-style retreat is perfect for the couple looking for a blend of sophistication and relaxation.

Ceremony

From the minute your wedding guests arrive at Auberge du Soleil, they will feel transported. The ceremony terrace has panoramic views of the Napa Valley, but evokes a feeling of quiet intimacy as your guests are hushed by the grandeur of the beauty that surrounds them. The facility provides blonde wood chiavari chairs, which are a great fit. If you are hosting a seated ceremony, you can accommodate about 75 guests. For larger celebrations (up to 120), consider a standing ceremony with a single row of chairs just for the immediate family.

The terrace hosts a great cocktail hour. Ask your wedding guests to join the newlyweds for a group photo - allowing the staff time to transition the space. The French garden courtyards or circular stair cases will create a memorable backdrop. Champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries are a fitting treat to welcome your guests back to the awe-inspiring vista. Fragrant flowers and floating candles in the fountain will invite conversation and mingling. The modest space is best suited for a standing reception filled with sumptuous nibbles passed by the impeccable staff - too much furniture will create overcrowding.

Insider Notes & The Bottom Line

The inn itself is an experience you won't want your guests to miss. The 33 "Maisons" that dot the property are interlaced by tranquil courtyards and wonderful European style gardens. Pricing at Auberge du Soleil is determined by your event total. The staff will customize each wedding to include your ceremony, reception, and all the amenities, along with a price per person based on menu and beverage sales. The facility fees will cost approximately $2500 - $4000. The reception costs can range from $80 to $200 per person and up. But remember, this price includes: space rental, chiavari chairs, excellent food, beverages, and table rentals. When you compare pricing as a package, the total is actually moderate for the experience.
