This time of the year is the most popular season for engagements.  Between the joy of the holiday season and New Year and the romance of Valentine's Day, many significant others choose to "pop the question" to their loved ones during these particular months.  So if you are one of those couples recently engaged, congratulations!  This is such an exciting time in your life and I wish you all the best!

With your recent engagement, I am sure you are beyond thrilled to get started on planning your wedding and start seeing that vision you have dreamed of since you were a little girl (or little boy) start to come to life!

However, before you start choosing your bridesmaid dress colors and flowers for your bouquet, the first thing you must do is select a wedding date.  Now you don't have to choose the EXACT day right this moment (unless you have a special day, such as your anniversary that you would really like for your wedding date), but you really need to decided what season would be ideal for your wedding and then go from there.  The season you choose will help you to pick the right venue (maybe you want your ceremony outside) as well as assist with choosing the right bridal gown, color scheme, flowers, etc.

In order to help you select the right wedding date, I advise you to read the short article below from Massachusetts Wedding Guide.

Selecting a Wedding Date

Once you and your fiance have decided on a wedding date/season/time frame, then you will be able to make wise decisions with the rest of your plans and watch your dream wedding unfold!

Again, if you are newly engaged, congratulations and enjoy planning your big day!  Be sure to follow Avid Entertainment's blog postings as we aim to provide invaluable wedding planning advice that we hope will help you along your journey.

Happy planning!
