Asking someone to be a bridesmaid in your wedding is a very special thing. You want the people closest to you to be a part of your special day. Here are a few tips that might help the bride to be.
1. Choose your bridesmaids carefully. Being a bridesmaid takes both time and money so be sure to choose people that will be able to give in both these areas.
2. Being a bridesmaid is a "gift of the heart", so it is important to make your bridesmaids feel special right from the start. Don't just make "Will you be my bridesmaid?" part of a normal conversation, ask in a special way. One very personal and inexpensive way to ask someone to be your bridesmaid is with "Will You Be My Bridesmaid" Cards.
I have many of these cards in my store at
Kathy Henis Greeting Cards
and from now until July 31, 2009 if you buy 10 or more you can save 25% by entering JULYSAVE25 at checkout.
3. Be sure to ask someone to be your bridesmaid when just the two of you are present. I say this for two reasons. One, this make the request more personal. Two, it gives the potential bridemaid the chance to decline in private, if finances or time does not allow her to participate.
4. However you decide to ask someone to be part of your special day, enjoy and surround yourself with the people who mean the most to you.
Best Wishes!
