How Hindu wedding cards differ from Muslim wedding cards!

Wedding cards have already gained a prominent place in wedding preparations and people don’t mind splurging money over exquisite designer wedding invitations. Earlier, people did not have plenty of options related to selecting a marriage invite. Be it any religion, barely few alternatives in terms of design, texture, and printing technology were available. Especially in India, the quality was the major drawback of marriage invites. Despite of a fabulous design, invitations would lack a proper finishing touch. However, due to the advent of cutting-edge printing technology, it became possible for the people to find outstanding Hindu wedding cards at reasonable price.

It is known to all that India is a country of diverse religions, but it is Hindu and Muslim community which dominate over other religions. The majority of new Marriage card companies and online portals are trying to lay strong emphasis on designing the marriage invitations for the people, belonging from these two religions. As far as Hindu religion is concerned, there are available plenty of options in terms of design and style. For an instance, there are few religious symbols in Hindu, which are considered to be highly auspicious for wedding ceremonies. These symbols include Lord Ganesha’s image, an image of Kalash with mango leaves over the top, along with a coconut placed in between those leaves, Swastik symbol, Om, doli or palki, raas-garba image of Radha-Krishna or simply an image of Radha-krishna, shahnai, palms of a bride featuring Mehndi, toasting flutes, horse and carriage etc. Out of the above mentioned auspicious Hindu wedding card symbols, image of Lord Ganesha and Swastik are preferred by the majority of Hindu people. Blessings of Lord Ganesha carry a special significance for wedding couple because it is believed that Lord Ganesha’s blessings and mercy help newlywed couple to get rid of obstacles.

The swastika is also used by the majority of Hindu because it symbolizes four different directions, change, movement and sun. The two crossed lines of Swastik signify the unification of two opposites that indicates towards unification of a male and female. It is apparent that with one image, lots of experiments can be done. For an instance, if an image of Lord Ganesh is being selected, then there are available countless ways to put it on a wedding card. An image can be directly designed on a card, or it can be embossed, image cut-out can be pasted on a wedding card. An image can be embellished with semi-precious stones or gem-stones, etc.

Now let’s see, what alternatives are available for Muslim wedding cards. Muslim weddings are also known as Nikaah. In the Muslim religion, there are also available few auspicious symbols which can be placed on the invitation card. These religious symbols include an image of a star and a crescent moon, etc. Sometimes holy verses of Quran are also used. Apart from that, Bismillah image is also used extensively by Muslim people. In a nutshell, it is apparent that there are available more design options for Hindu Marriage Cards in comparison to the options available for Muslim wedding cards.
