Now for those of you who know me, yes that’s correct I’ve moved from the blogger.com dark side. What of it? Turns out I’m fickle as a pickle when it comes to blogs (if pickles are in fact fickle, if not then I’ll be one of the curly red acetate fish that you get in crackers).
For a little bit about me…
Hello, my name is Jennifer Wadsworth, and I was the definitive little girl in her mother’s pearls, day dreaming of wedding after wedding, with a sketchbook (circa 1993) to prove it. I started out as freelance event planner, from there I was headhunted to take control of the London branch of a Wedding and Events consultancy where I cultivated my skills and grew my personal little white book of contacts before spreading my wings to create my very own venture. I named it Jennifer Wadsworth Wedding Planning. Original and edgy I think you’ll agree….
Month to month I’ll be blogging and posting things I’ve found, loved, laughed at and wanted to banish in a cave ( you never know, the abominal snow-man and/or the gruffalo may find treasure in my trash..)
In this post I’d like to introduce myself into the wordpress world through some of my favourite pictures of one of my most chilled out and impossibly classy brides from last year. I’ve only just received my copies through from the photographer (tut tut) but hey ho, they were worth the wait.
The beautiful Alexandra wanted an entirely traditional wedding that was dramatic yet understated, classic yet personal and ultimately elegant. From the scented pink freesias that have always reminded Alexandra of weddings since she attended one filled with them as a child, to the framed photos of her parents wedding to ensure her late father was somehow with her – this wedding was so sentimental and romantic it made me melt. It’ll do the same to you too ( unless you have a heart of stone, in which case this blog is probably not for you..) The wedding was shot by Guy Hearn at the breath-taking Great Fosters in Egham,Surrey.
Well. That’s all folks. I have to say, yes, this wedding may not be quirky and ‘original’, but my goodness is it a total bridal dream. It was the epitome of a classic, english wedding, for a couple that couldn’t be more in love. Wow I could cry just thinking about it.
With love to all my followers, brides (and grooms) and anyone else that’s having a cheeky gander – next blog post will be the latest in the topsy turvy wedding world’s do’s and dont’s.
Love, Jennifer xxxx
