The wedding season is officially on, and you know what that means? Yes, a lot of crazy fun hen nights that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. If you’re the (un)lucky one stuck with the organization of the party and the pressure to find something truly original and fabulous at the same time, stick around with us, you might find out something really useful. Here are some ideas that you can steal, or that can trigger your inner creativity and help you find an idea of your own.
There’s nothing better than a couple of girlfriends and unlimited amount of wine at their disposal, right? You can find a bar, hotel or a winery hosting private tasting events and leave them with all the organization, or you can do your best to throw a party at your home. Just make sure you know useful stuff about wines before you choose the ones you’ll be drinking, and to keep them on a proper temperature. If you want to make something really special – consider traveling to some world-famous wine regions, such as Napa Valley (US), Barossa Valley (Australia), Tuscany (Italy), Bordeaux (France) or Douro (Portugal).
Enough with the drinking, let’s go dancing. Themed dance classes (from Bollywood to Dirty Dancing) are always an interesting idea, but if you want to go wild with your girls, why not take them to a pole dancing class? It will be fun and sexy, and the bride-to-be can learn a thing or two that she might find useful in her marriage later on.
Camping in the woods surrounded with insects, frogs and who knows what kinds of creatures, doesn’t seem like a perfect idea to spend your friend’s last single day. Well, glamping, which is now available across the world, offers you the possibility to enjoy a full-blown luxury experience inside extravagant tents, with champagne, strawberries and cream.
Cocktails are the ultimate drink for the hen’s party, so why not throw a hen’s focused around these mixed up beverages? If you and your friends have a thing for young Tom Cruise from Cocktail (1988), then you have even better reason to do so. Make it more interesting by giving yourselves tasks, like to try a different drink in several cocktail bars in Melbourne or ask the bartenders to help you invent your own cocktails.
Perhaps your bride-to-be isn’t very thrilled about going wild, drinking cocktails, tasting wines and pole dancing. If that is the case, you should find equally interesting, yet calm venue. Arts and crafts are more popular than ever, so you can try how handy are you in arranging flowers, decoupage, painting portraits, repurposing furniture or something else Baking school is also a great idea.
Who doesn’t like a good pampering now and then? And your friend who is about to make the most important step in her life deserves it the most. Sharing that experience with her BFFs is all that she could ask. So, book a full spa treatment for all the girls, and enjoy relaxing massages, manicure and pedicure, facials, and of course, a sauna.
Put a few girls in a room with a bunch of makeup products, flashy mirrors, stylish clothes, and professional makeup artists and hairdressers, and you will have the chance to see how pure happiness looks like. Now, after all of you are finished with your road to fabulousness, it would be a shame to simply go back home. Go somewhere where you will be seen and admired (e.g. a fancy restaurant, a hip club, etc.).
Hope we’ve tickled your imagination with these few ideas. Now all that’s left to do is to find out what your special girl would like the most and start planning.
