Many couples we sit down with have certain songs that they love, however they just don't fit into the wedding day. They may be rock songs that are too heavy to dance to, or a country song that just doesn't quite fit in with your crowd. We suggest making these songs part of the garter and bouquet tradition. During the garter and bouquet toss, you have four opportunities to play songs that may not fit in with your dinner mix or dancing portion of your wedding, but you can still include them in part of your big day. You will need song choices for the following:
For this tradition, any song goes! If you like heavy metal, use your favorite song in that genre for the garter toss and if there's a silly song from your childhood, play that during the bouquet toss. Think back to your high school or college days - was there a significant song that your group of friends always played to psyche up for the football game? Did you and your girlfriends make up a funny dance to one of the goofy songs back in the 80's? Or was there a memorable song that was playing during your bachelor/bachelorette party while your friends were making you do embarrassing things? These are all ideas to think about when planning the songs for this fun wedding tradition.
