ORIGINAL CUSTOM SONG!

Whether for a wedding, an anniversary, new baby, adoption, milestone birthday, graduation or a unique song to compliment your business conference or website, here are some frequently asked questions from my CUSTOM SONG clients that might help prepare and inspire you...

WHAT'S THE COST?

The cost depends on the song package you need/desire and is negotiable. So far, most of my clients choose to have me write their song and provide them with a professional recording of me singing lead & backing vocals and playing my acoustic guitar. Should you want a recording of your original song with more instruments (perhaps piano, violin, cello, etc) and production &/or with a male voice on lead vocals, you and I would create a custom song recording package that is both exciting and affordable for you.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO WRITE & RECORD A CUSTOM SONG?

If at all possible, I prefer to have a good 2 weeks to take lots of notes with you, write the 1st draft of your song, play it for you and then edit it with you to make sure it's just right, then record it and have time to mail your CDs to you. Should you need a CUSTOM SONG written & recorded in less than 2 weeks, tell me what your deadline is and I'll tell you what I can do!

WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION IS NEEDED FOR A CUSTOM SONG?

First, I will want to know what tempo & tone you'd like for your original song. Slow and sentimental? Upbeat and fun? Together we'll determine what best suits your occasion and the message you want to send. Then I will ask you many questions about the song's subject. If it's a love song for a wedding, I'll want to know lots of special things about the relationship between bride & groom. Memories, emotions, imagery....from obvious details to those personal things that make this relationship and this song's story different from all others. After all, this IS a song all about YOU or the people you're giving it to!

DO I USE A SONG "TEMPLATE" AND PLUG IN YOUR STORY DETAILS?

No, every CUSTOM SONG starts from scratch with its own melody, rhythm, tempo & tone. Your song is an ORIGINAL, not a Cut & Paste.

WHAT IF YOU WANT A NON-TRADITIONAL WEDDING OR WEDDING DANCE SONG? SOMETHING UNEXPECTED?

Go for it!! This is YOUR song and YOU get to decide if it's more traditional or completely outside the box.

WHAT ARE MY CREDENTIALS...aka WHY SHOULD YOU HIRE ME?
