Fall Bridal Shows...Part Two

I heard this great comment from a vendor I was speaking to on a message board...when I brought up the subject of Fall Bridal shows, here is what she said:

"I have found over the years that the brides who attend the fall shows are more serious about booking then the spring brides. I think its because most brides get engaged between Christmas and Valentines Day. At the spring or winter shows they are really just looking for ideas and inspiration. By the time the fall rolls around they are ready to make a decision and get vendors booked"

This is SO TRUE!!!!

The brides that attend the shows in the winter or early spring can sometimes be all about the spectacle and not the substance. Not to say that brides that attend the winter bridal shows have only freebees and fashion shows on their minds...some are truly there to figure things out and book for their weddings...but....the brides that attend the fall shows have looked at the magazines...look on line...heard advice from friends...checked into referrals...and are READY to purchase!
