FruitIn the weeks between your last fitting and your wedding, you want to maintain your weight. While it's a common fear to overindulge in those last few precious days and squeezing into your wedding dress, it's also equally common of overshooting your goal so that the gown is actually a bit loose.

It's important to eat healthy, filling meals, period, but especially, if you want to look like a gorgeous, glowing bride! Here are a few ways to look and feel your best from now to your wedding. Also note that whenever you make radical lifestyle changes, you should consult a healthcare professional like a doctor or a nutritionalist.

1. Portion Control
Pre-measuring your food prevents you from eating too much or too little. Your portions may change due to your personal metabolism, but studies have show that using smaller plates and shallower bowls gives the impression of more food.

2. Eat Slowly
Not only will you feel more satiated, but when you bolt down your food you tend to swallow air which can cause bloating. Set the table, sit down, and enjoy a glass of wine or sparkling water to make eating a multi-sensory experience rather than a chore.

3. Food Diary
When you want to make healthier choices, it's good to record what you actually eat. Not only does it cut down on mindless snacking, but if you know what and how much you eat, it sure makes grocery shopping easier!

4. Eat an Apple a day
Sometimes we eat because we're bored. If you dislike apples like me, you can substitute another fruit like a pear or an orange. One of Michael Pollan's Food Rules is to eat an apple if you're feeling peckish. If you don't feel like eating an apple, you're not hungry.

5. Drink Water
If it's too bland for your taste, you can substitute some of your liquid intake with green tea. You can also add lemon slices, fresh cucumber, basil, or fresh berries for flavored spa water!
