Hello, hello! so it that's time again for me to update you with this weeks news and gossip, well since it was a fairly quiet'ish week, it won't be such a long winded post (I know you all have lives to lead, so won't bore you with the unnecessary details like last time! lol) well this week, was again purely focused on the Bat Mitzvah event and we (by we I mean Dominique and me) finally managed to send off all the invites!  - but the process did not go without the normal & expected 'hiccups'; we had a slight printer 'issue', why is it the moment you have something important to print, it decides to have a 'diva fit' and refuses to play nice?? Like a world renowned singer who demands all white walls, lilies and puppies in her dressing room, the printer just plain refused to except the replacement cartridge we gave it, deeming it of a sub standard quality, it just wouldn't print! but luckily Dominique had it covered with a second printer; HA! mission 'Invitations' was not to be stopped! lol.

The second issue would be down to me having a slight 'dumbo' moment and putting the consent forms in the wrong envelopes, only realising after a substantial amount of envelopes had been stuffed.... like I said 'dumbo' moment! But regardless of this, all was well in the end and the invites were stamped and sent off with her majesties service - good ole Royal Mail ;-) Dominique also managed to secure that well known Dance Act -'Those who shall not be named' for the Bat Mitzvah party and believe you me, getting that to happen was no small feat on Dominique's part! but it's all done and confirmed and we're both very excited about it!, so fingers crossed for smooth sailing on that front, from here onwards!

On a personal positive note for me,  Dominique had seen my Pinterest Boards and read my blog and commented that she liked the idea of the mood boards I had previously created (see previous posts for more;-) and she asked if I could create one for the Bat Mitzvah; for the centre piece ideas. The brief was to base it on the Blue and Gold colour scheme used in the invites and the cake. So I went off with my task in mind and came up with this;

I was soooooo nervous to show Dominique what I came up with the next day - this is the first time I've showed an actual professional within the wedding industry my idea's and was terrified that what I came up with was just all wrong!; despite encouraging comments from trusted friends, I just had this vision of Dominique taking one look at the mood board and screeching 'you iddddiiioottt, you call this a mood board!!' (can I just state for the record that Dominique is not a mean, horrible woman, nor someone who would screech like that - my imagination is clearly channelling the boss lady from ' The Devil wears Prada'! lol) but on this occasion it was all ok, Dominique was happy with what I had come up with and will be forwarding it onto the clients and florist at the Bat Mitzvah party venue to look at.

Well that 's generally how whole my week went, I am still currently researching Casino's for hire, for the Bat Mitzvah Party and have also been tasked with a few other jobs such as; finding a hotel & Coach Car Park local to the party venue, so will be working on that over the weekend! But what I'm looking forward to happening tomorrow, is finally getting to meet the bride and groom of the Jamaica wedding; which is happening in July. It will be really interesting to meet the couple, & to see Dominique in full 'Wedding Planner' mode, I'm really excited to just take it all in and learn as much as possible, so keep a lookout for my update, I hope to do a post on this asap!.

OK, not wanting to completely bore you silly with the 'ins & outs's of my weekly activities, I thought I would share some photo's of these gorgeous hats! The thing is, if I'm being really really honest,  I could never -Previously mind! - say that I had much love or interest for millinery or headwear in general! and I DEFINITELY couldn't understand the point of 'Fascinators'! Those 'peacock-a-do's' that the ladies donned at Ascot's always left me truly baffled; but I'm pleased to say that I'm now a believer & I'm a lover not a hater of all things Millinery! I'm discovering just how FAB hats can be and if your an 'un-conventiable' bride-to-be or a member of the bridal party and your looking for  that 'little something' to add that 'jues ne sais quoi' to your dress/outfit then a hat could be just the thing for you!
I thought since I'm in such a state of happiness over these gorgeous hats and headpieces, I would show you a couple of my current favs; enjoy!:
