Good morning all and how has your week been? hopefully not as hectic as mine? But then again maybe hectic is your idea of a good week? lol! To say it's been crazy at work of late is a mega mega understatement, Sam (the new girl) has definitely 'hit the ground running' and is learning fast (though she doesn't believe so - blind panic and doubt and can do that to you!lol) I have faith in her and am impressed by how quickly she's absorbing it all and trust me there is A LOT to absorb where I work! not just the work, but understanding the dynamic's of the place and taking in all the ......'special' (thats my way of describing them) people I work with! but hey I'm sure there are plenty of 'special' people where you work too right?!
Anyway today post isn't exactly wedding orientated as such *shock horror, not wedding related!* lol bare with me and hopefully you'll draw some inspiration from todays piece! Since deciding to embark upon this new career path in wedding and event planning, I thought it would be a good idea to do a bit of research into the industry to gauge whether this would be something suitable for me and the skills I believe I have and of course what do we do when we want to get some info? why of course we hit the World Wide Web and go to the ever famous search Engine that is GOOGLE! I must say, a part of me does feel it's a shame that we no longer use Library's as we used to, being an avid book reader and collector (my shelves are groaning under the weight of the massive stacks of chick lit that adorn it!lol) I used to - and still do at times- enjoy going to the Library, just to escape the everyday noise and hustle bustle of London living to either search for a new book to read or to research information; But hey times are changing and the age of technology has made the purpose of a Library almost obsolete - why trek to your local Library, when you can sit in the comfort of your own home (with a cup of tea and biccie) and get all you need on the net!
So this leads me onto today's piece and talking about my current favourite website's, which I regularly visit - some of which I'm shamed to say maybe even slightly.. ok ok am VERY addicted to. I've found these websites more than useful and also very inspiring! hopefully you will too, so leave me your comments, thoughts or even twitter me and let me know what you think!

#1 Pinterest:
"Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favourite recipes, Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people"
I had to list this one first, as this is the website I touch base with everyday, without fail! I am more than addicted to it and find that it have given the most amount of inspiration for my blog - the images found via this website are just amazing, and it constantly surprises me how many people use this site!

#2 Etsy:
"Etsy is the world’s handmade marketplace. Our mission is to empower people to change the way the global economy works. We see a world in which very-very small businesses have much-much more sway in shaping the economy, We are bringing heart to commerce and making the world more fair, more sustainable, and more fun."
I discovered this website via a blog a that a follow called: 'Love My Dress', and the thing that I love the most, is that it's an online platform, for people world wide, to be able to sell their handmade goods, it's like having place's such as Camden, Spitalfields or even Portobello Road markets (and more) all online! it's just fab!

I discovered this gold mine of a website, when looking for gift inspiration for a recent birthday, this website is very similar to that of Etsy, it also encourages small business who want to their products to a more global market and I just adore that the product's on offer are unique and different, some of which I have purchased myself and have even featured on my blog!
