Wedding Professionals:

Last week, I blogged about 5 Facebook Tips that Lead to More Wedding Sales. One of my main points was that you need to create an attractive Facebook page for your business.  Your business page needs to give people a reason to become a fan, showcase your work and link to your website. Another idea is to add functionality to your page that captures brides' email addresses.  You'll need to add a custom landing page to your Facebook business page in order to achieve all of this.  A custom landing page can welcome new visitors, promote deals, and even call attention to new products/services.

I'd like to also point out that you SHOULD NOT use your personal profile page to promote your business. In fact, Facebook doesn’t allow this and if they catch you doing this, they will shut down your personal page.

So, here are some affordable options for creating a custom landing page for your Facebook business page:

  1. Want a marketing expert to build a custom landing page for you? Turn to LocalTrafficBuilder.com. You'll be in good hands because this company specializes in wedding marketing. Their Facebook package includes setting up a new Facebook page for your business or enhancing your current Facebook page with a branded profile image and landing page.  The page includes an invitation to “Like us” and it can also include coupon incentives, links to your website, etc.
  2. Want to use a design template as a turnkey way to build a custom landing page yourself?  I found these two options from reading Inc. Magazine's article: Fabulous Facebook Pages...
    • Pagemodo – Pagemodo is free for one custom page with unlimited fans and a Powered by Pagemodo credit. To use it, sign in to your Facebook account, go to pagemodo.com, click Get Started, and begin designing, using the servce’s intuitive interface. You can choose from 18 templates, resize and upload images, add text, change colors and embed video. To remove the Pagemodo branding from your custom Facebook page, Pagemodo offers a premium account that starts at $6.25 a month.
    • ShortStack – ShortStack is a good fit for wedding professionals who are looking for lots of design options. ShortStack offers 40 design templates. Go to shortstacklab.com, click Start Here.  Log in to your Facebook account and begin designing. You can upload your logo and images and use widgets to add features such as YouTube videos and your Twitter feed. ShortStack also offers analytical tools that tell you how many people visit your page and what they click on. This is free for pages with up to 100 fans. If you have/want more fans, then they offer a premium account that starts at $9 a month.

What have you done to your Facebook business page in order to attract brides and increase sales?

Enjoy!

Christine, There's no other site that comes close to providing the kinds of support that you do for the wedding industry. Thanks for another key article.

I tried pagemodo and then my "fans" couldn't post on their photos and it seemed to slow down loading my page.  Has anyone else had this problem?
