Creativity starts in an Instant

Brides can use some of the techniques that professional designers use by staying on task and following through on great ideas. Say you get up in the middle of the night and have a vision of a cottage theme, the next morning immediately look for ideas that go along with it. Book your wedding for the summer, decide you will have mint juleps on the porch for the cocktail hour, and have decor that looks like a summer vacation. Open trunks, rowing oars,
swings with flowered stanchions, you get the idea.

OK, so this is a little carried away but honestly this is how the creative process works. Like in writing, art or design you have to act on your inspiration to make it happen. If you get an idea and come back to it two weeks later by that time you have lost interest or are going with someone else's opinion. Insist on your own ideas ! How else will your wedding be unique and special? When you see some of the upscale shows with unlimited budgets they put their dream into action. The only difference is they assigned it to someone else. It is good to have the Wedding Magician by your side to really make it happen but they can only do what you tell them. After all it is your money to spend and if there was a license to make it happen without you we would have it. The title is Consultant or Coordinator and you are the Artist.

Don't be afraid or timid because no one is as unique as you, and no one has the relationship that you have. The couple together can decide what best fits as far as taste and style.
