As a planner, I’m frequently asked to help members of the wedding party with boutonnieres and corsages. Shoulder corsages can be tricky to pin on correctly, and depending on the fabric of the dress, pinned corsages can be damaging. For that reason, I always recommend that my couples provide wrist corsages for the special women attending their weddings. These are easier to put on, can be worn with any outfit, and don’t get in the way during the many rounds of hugs that are inevitable at a wedding! Most wrist corsages are made with a thin band of elastic, which is functional, but hardly attractive. Imagine my glee, then, when I discovered these corsage bracelets made by a company called Fitz Design. These stylish pieces of jewellery come with a plastic mounting plate and decorative ribbons with which to affix the flowers, but this can be removed following the wedding, leaving a stunning piece of jewellery that can be worn again and again. What a wonderful option to provide the mother of the bride or groom, or any other special lady attending the wedding. She’ll have a beautiful floral display on the wedding day, and a gorgeous and functional bracelet that will remind her of your wedding each time she wears it.

And my absolute favourite (LOVE IT!):
These bracelets retail for between $5 and $30, depending on the style, and are available at many fine florists’, including Fellows Fernlea Flowers in St. Thomas.
Why stop there? Fitz also makes beautiful hair accessories that come with flower plates to make it super easy to incorporate beautiful wedding flowers in your hair.
