The springtime is one of the most popular times to get married. In some places, people are just shaking off the winter cold and everywhere grass is beginning to grow in and trees are budding with the promise of hotter months to come. So, how do you best choose a spring wedding venue and something that represents all the fresh new beginnings that spring represents?
Consider the Weather
In some places, spring can mean anything from low and high temperatures to rain and thunderstorms and more. If it is warm enough where you live to host an outdoor wedding, always have an indoor option at the ready in case of inclement weather. The local botanical gardens may seem like a great place for an outdoor wedding, but not in the middle of a rainstorm.
Choose a Place with Lots of Windows
The days are getting longer and the sun doesn't set until around 7PM in most places. Choosing an indoor venue with lots of windows can allow the warm spring sun to stream in and provide light for your wedding or afternoon reception. This adds a lovely glow to photos taken in the location as well, giving all of your photos more warmth and beauty.
Have It Outdoors
With spring all around you, you can expect all sorts of lovely smells to permeate through the air and give the outdoors an uplifting feeling that is perfect for a wedding. It may be a little tough to find flowers that are already in bloom if you plan your wedding too early, but having your wedding outdoors can give you plenty of other great benefits. First off, outdoor venues are much less expensive in the spring months because they aren’t as high in demand as they are in the summer. Second, having your wedding outdoors allows you to do all sorts of things you can’t do inside like use wedding sparklers at the end of your ceremony or roast marshmallows over a campfire during your reception.
Think Nature, Rejuvenation and Uniqueness
A spring wedding will allow you to embrace the rejuvenation of nature and you can do this by choosing a unique wedding venue that will leave guests in awe. Sure, you can decorate any venue with luscious spring wedding flowers, but going with existing beauty is both cheaper and more unique. Wineries in the spring time are a beautiful place to behold, with the grape vines beginning to steadily grow and spring wines making their way onto the tables for your guests to enjoy. Wineries offer some of the most unique wedding venues and can accommodate small or large parties, depending on what you are looking for. If you want to dine within the grape vines you should probably wait for the summer months, but springtime at a vineyard is something whimsical to behold.
