How long have you been in business? I've been designing invitations and stationery for as long as I can remember, for family and friends. But, technically, The Paper Couturière has been an actual business for just over a year.

Whats the best thing about what you do?
I can use all of my creative talents and my love for textures; designs; colours; and typefaces to create one of a kind paper pieces that express the unique personality of the bride and groom.

Best Advice for Brides?
Host a wedding that is the best representation of you and your groom. This is your day and that gives you license to have things the way you want it. If you don't want to invite your best friends neighbors great niece twice removed, don't. BUT, remember, it might be your special day and it gives you license to make it the way you and your groom want it..but it doesn't make it okay to turn into an anti-social bridezilla. This day is supposed to be fun..so relax and enjoy it!

What about your own wedding?
I designed and created everything...from the bridal bouquets, to the centrepieces, to the "welcome table", and, of course, all of the stationery. And I would do it all again in a heartbeat..it was perfect! It wasn't cookie cutter..it perfectly reflected Rodney and I, our relationship, our personalities, and brilliantly reflected my colour scheme of chocolate brown, apple green, and pale pink. It was a gorgeous event!
