Shoes are a great bridal accessory – classic or non-traditional, they give you the opportunity to really represent your personal style and personality. Traditional white and ivory shoes look glamorous with a gown. But, if you’re not the traditional type, what options are out there for you? Here are a few ideas:
Spice up your outfit with colorful shoes. Match them to your wedding color scheme, or go for a blue – as this could count as something “new,” “blue,” “borrowed” and even “old” if you find a great vintage pair. Color options are endless:
Wedding shoes, however cute they are, should also provide some comfort (or your poor feet will be dead by the day’s end!). Flat shoes are terrific options for casual and classic brides, and add an element of comfort impossible to find in heels and pumps. Dressed up or dressed down, these shoes are perfect for your entire wedding, or just as your “dancin’ shoes” for the reception. Keep in classic by wearing big bow flats, make a difference to a child in need with TOMS white crochet classics, or go casual with Converse. Let your personality shine.
Having your wedding in a place with an extreme climate? No worries. Even weather proofing can look great! For a snowy affair, luxurious white fur boots add glamour. Rainy day? Hunter Rain Boots in silver add shimmer and shine, and keep your feet dry. Beach wedding? Go barefoot, and add bling with foot jewelry, like this gorgeous piece from Etsy:
Finally, let your shoes do the talking! Fun decals and imprints can spice up footwear and make a statement. These options from Wedding Star (available via our Le Papillon Events shop) are all great choices – Add fun decals to the bottom of your ceremony shoes, or leave lovely tracks in the sand at your beach wedding with these “Just Married” flip flops:
