Over the last few years, I have seen where some bridal shows have gone from having around 50 companies participating in their event to anywhere from 150 and up.

Now, this may look like 'WOW, I have the opportunity to see over ____ number of companies to help me in my wedding planning'...but, does it really help??!!

Think about it...planning a wedding can get COMPLETELY overwhelming on a 'good day'. Then, the bride and groom plan to go to a bridal show that "has it all!": over 150 companies in the wedding related fields, 4 fashion shows, etc. etc.

Talk about going from 'overwhelming' to 'stressed-out-beyond-belief'!!

I do believe in having a bridal show that has variety so that brides and grooms can effectively plan their wedding and reception...but it has been said that 'too much of a good thing is just that...TOO MUCH'

When a bride and groom are looking for a bridal show to attend, they should make sure the event has what THEY need in order to get answers to their wedding planning questions.

And, companies looking to participate in bridal shows should look for events that have low and FAIR competition so that they can truly benefit from their bridal show investment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Bridal shows are the best way for companies to market their business to couples planning a wedding....and...they are a great way for brides and grooms to see what they are buying, sample what they are interested in, and truly plan a day that they will remember for the rest of their lives!
