Board #3 - Mon Paris, Mon Marie

I have always dreamed of visiting Paris, France and in April of 2008, I not only spent 15 days there, I got engaged there, too! It is France's distant past, more so than its present, that I am in love with. The French have always had an eye for effortless (or so it seems) opulence and beauty. Long before the Eiffel Tower existed and before the Mona Lisa graced the Musee Louvre with her smile, French royalty dictated fashion. Like Marie Antoinette, the French do not follow trends, they set them.

Although I am not normally a follower, it is hard for me not to join others who are equally fascinated by Marie Antoinette and the City of Lights. Let's face it, both the Queen and her city reign supreme in the fashion world (alongside my home city, New York, of course). Open a fashion or wedding magazine and you will see that Marie Antoinette's fashion sense transcends time. I created this board with her life mind. Oh and that is her signature you see in the board.
