Blenheim Palace expedition!!

Hi guys - just looking out into the snow has reminded me of a wedding we played for last winter!! We go caught in a blizzard on the M40 on the way to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. A lorry had jack - knifed in front of us and the traffic came to a standstill!! We arrived at Blenheim 5 hours after the original time for the wedding!  The guests had all been kept occupied with a tipple or two and were very merry by the time we arrived!! We set up in record time in the ceremony room and waited for the registrar to arrive!! There was half an hour before the deadline -  wedding ceremonies need to be performed before 6 pm!!  The registrar arrived at 5.50 - 20 minutes after us!!  Our poor couple were completely overawed with emotion! You can imagine the relief when the ceremony took place! It took us another 7 hours to get home - We "slid" in home at 2am - cold but safe!! What an adventure!!  Dedicated musicians!
