So you're soooo over strapless, but do other wedding dress neckline options even exist? Until recently, we'd have said well, barely - but as of late, particularly beginning with the Spring 2013 collections, brides who are opting out of strapless are finding a ton of fabulous options. We're talking halters, bateau, choker necklines with lace, beading, illusion fabric - everything it takes to be uber-bridal with a twist.
Though a sweetheart neckline will always be a classic, the high necklines were seeing are truly timeless and are a fantastic way for brides looking to add a little vintage/retro vibe - or a modern boho feel, depending on the neckline you love - to ensure their wedding dress stands out from the crowd.
If you're wondering what to do with the whole hair/veil situation when your dress has a higher neckline, we'd suggest either soft curls or a soft upsweep with the hair, and a veil that doesn't compete with the dress - meaning an underveil back away from the neckline, a simple cathedral veil with all the drama (if you're partial to beading, etc.) at the bottom or no veil at all (if you're a fascinator kind of girl, they're a great compliment to a higher neckline!).
