Bahamas Returns to Normal After Hurricane Irene

The Bahamas has returned to normal after Hurricane Irene with most hotel and resort properties in the primary tourism areas of Nassau and Grand Bahama are now open for business.

However, Sandals Resorts Royal Bahamian and Breezes Bahamas All Inclusive Resort both located on Cable Beach in Nassau have been closed for repairs following Irene.

Sandals has transferred all of its booking to its other resort property in the Bahamas, Sandals Emerald Bay, Exuma and Breezes Bahamas to adjacent hotel properties on Cable Beach, the Sheraton and Wyndham resorts.

As for the other hotels and resorts properties on Nassau, Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island including Atlantis Bahamas, experienced only limited landscaping damage, power loss and flooding from Hurricane Irene.
