As promised, some etiquette information for you...who pays for what?

Happy Friday everyone. As promised I will share a little wedding
etiquette with you today.
Probably the most common question is "who pays for what?" Here are some
of those answers. Please keep in mind that today things are so different
than they used to be so don't take these as absolutes just suggestions.
In days gone by it was the bride's parents who paid for
everything...even if the bride was marrying a millionaire, the wedding
was in the style that the bride's parents could afford. Today that is
all changed. If the bride and groom are young and getting married for
the first time, both sets of parents can share the expenses. Perhaps in
light of old traditions the bride's parents may opt to pay for most but
willingly accept any help that the groom's parents may offer.
In the case of couples who have already been living together for some
time will most likely pay for their wedding themselves. Of course if
parents want to help out that is acceptable.
