Ok so this post was meant to have been out yesterday, but we all know how that first day back at work after the weekend, can take a lot of out you! Nothing takes you off your happy weekend high quicker, than piles of paperwork, and printer jams! Urgh why in this day and age of superior technology do printers still jam?!- anyway that's a rant for another day! Lol
So back to the topic in hand, today I'm going to talk to you about honeymoons! And not just your average 'run of the mill' beach getaway types; Oh No! I'm going to show you some really fab alternatives! Not everyones idea of fun is lazing lazing around on a secluded beach, a cocktail in hand, with crystal clear waters lapping at your sun lounger... Ok sorry! I got caught up in the fantasy for moment lol... Now where was I? That's was it! Take a look at these unique & inspired honeymoon ideas & destinations and tell me which one has you reconsidering that 'sun-kissed beach' affair you planned on?
J'ADORE I WANT MORE
#1 'Sex in the city'
Can you guess which destination this one is?... ok so the title made it fairly obvious, but i just had to list it, Part of the appeal of a New York City honeymoon is the wide variety of things to see and do, from a romantic moon lit carriage ride through Central park, to sharing a lovers kiss on top of the ever famous Empire State building; the list is endless! and if you plan to visit the BIG Apple, why not make your stay there big in every way and splurge out on a stay in the sumptuously decadent St Regis Hotel? Look at these photo’s and tell me it doesn’t make your wanna scream ‘I LOVE NEW YORK’!

#2 'Strangers on a train'
As well as being a great honeymoon idea, this one was featured for personal reasons too; traveling through the Asian continent on the legendary Orient Express, has always been high on my ‘dream wish list’ But seriously how romantic would it be, for you and your new hubby to be whisked through beautiful and exotic landscapes whilst riding this classic train? this mode of rail transportation, is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. The Eastern & Oriental Express offers three grades of beautifully appointed compartments: Pullman Cabins, State Cabins and Presidential Suites - each as elegantly decorated as the next, and if that not enough to impress, you can enjoy gourmet dining, cocktails in the open-air observation car and special local entertainment as your adventure unfolds. These photo’s, must make you want to book the tickets, for what is bound to be a dream honeymoon voyage.
#3 'Carry on Camping'
So camping isn’t exactly at the top of the average newly weds honeymoon list - but I'm not talking about, setting up camp in some god forsaken, cow pat ridden field in the back end of some ‘Shire’, nooooo, I’m talking about ‘Glamour Camping’ aka ‘Glamping’ (i know tres original) but yes, the new ‘it’ outdoor trend is luxury camping, and how is this possible to have these two words in the same sentence? easy!why not book a stay in a luxury ‘Yurt’ in the Hoopoe Yurt Hotel in Andalucia, Spain via Canopy & Stars. you get to enjoy the benefits of the beautiful & rustic Spanish scenery, whilst never having to be fully without your creature comforts. The Hotel’s six Yurts are full of individual touches from antique furniture to textiles from around the world. They all have private bathrooms, as well as an acre of private meadow for you to unwind and relax in. If that isn't enticing enough for you honeymooners, then I don’t what is?!

#4 'The Jungle Book'
OK so did this title give you visions of ruffing it in jungle, with you and your new hubbie surviving off the fruits of land? Well fear not, what I found was far more civilized! Jamaica has more to offer than just reggae music & jerk chicken, it also holds one of the Caribbeans best-kept secrets, four cool little tree houses known as Kanopi House, nestled in the lush northeast coast. These Colonial and West Indian-style bungalows are perched high in the trees at around 10 feet, where some have views of the Blue Lagoon, where a natural spring meets the ocean! I reckon any loved-up twosome, could enjoy some ‘post wedding’ bliss high up in these tree tops, what do you think?
Stay Blessed and we'll speak again soon
