Aromatherapy To Keep The Bride Calm and Relaxed So She Can Actually Enjoy Her Wedding Day!

Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home…or wedding party…should be without Lavender essential oil. Lavender can assist the body when adapting to stress or imbalances. It is a great aid for relaxing and winding, yet has balancing properties that can also boost stamina and energy. It may be used to soothe and cleanse common cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. Lavender may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods.

Peppermint is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion and upset stomachs due to stress. Scientists have studied it's ability to improve concentration and mental sharpness, and also its ability to directly affect the brain's satiety center, which triggers a sensation of fullness after meals, which helps to curb appetite for those wanting help in losing weight. It may also be used to enhance the flavor of food and water. Serving therapeutic-grade peppermint in water – hot as a tea or cold – may help to keep the bride and the wedding party sharp, focused, and calm. Use sparingly if you have high blood pressure.

Lemon consists of 68 percent dlimonene, a powerful antioxidant to support the immune system…under stress. It is delightfully refreshing in water and may be beneficial for the skin. Lemon may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rinds of lemons. It is known as a tonic for supporting the nervous and sympathetic nervous system. A few drops of therapeutic-grade lemon oil in water makes a delicious lemonade with blue agave syrup as the sweetener…low glycemic index!

Joy -- A luxurious blend of Lemon, mandarin, bergamot, ylang ylang, rose, rosewood, geranium, palmarosa, Roman chamomile, and jasmine.
*Rub two drops of Joy oil on the heart and feet to increase libido.
*Wear a drop of Joy oil behind each ear as a perfume.
*Put a drop of Joy oil on the tip of the nose to uplift your mood.

Each of the essential oils in this blend can also be used individually for their own specific benefits:

Mandarin: Appeasing, gentle, promotes happiness; use for digestive problems, skin problems (acne, scars, etc.).

Bergamot: Calming, antidepressant, hormonal support; use for agitation, anxiety, and insomnia.

Ylang Ylang: The flowers have been used to cover the beds of newlywed couples on their wedding night. Calming, balances male-female energies, enhances spiritual attunement, combats anger, combats low self-esteem, and restores confidence and peace. Use sparingly if you have low blood pressure.

Rose: Relaxant, anti-ulcer, use for hypertension, and anxiety. Its beautiful fragrance is intoxicating and aphrodisiac-like. It helps bring balance and harmony. It is stimulating and elevating to the mind, creating a sense of well-being.

Rosewood: Empowering and emotionally stabilizing.

Geranium: Helps release negative memories and eases nervous tension. It balances the emotions, lifts the spirit, and foster peace, well-being and hope.

Palmarosa: Creates a feeling of security. It also helps to reduce stress and tension and promotes recovery from nervous exhaustion.

Roman Chamomile: For centuries, mothers have used chamomile to calm crying children, combat digestive and liver ailments and relieve toothaches. It relieves restlessness, anxiety, ADHD, depression, insomnia. It minimizes irritability and nervousness.

Jasmine: Jasmine is actually an ‘essence’ not an essential oil. The flowers must be picked at night to maximize the fragrance. The quality of the blossoms may also be compromised if they are crushed. A single pound of jasmine oil may cost between $1200 - $4500. In contrast, synthetic jasmine oils can be obtained for $3.50 per pound, but they do not possess the same therapeutic qualities as the pure oil. Jasmine is uplifting; counteracts hopelessness, nervous exhaustion, anxiety, depression, indifference, and listlessness. For centuries, women have treasured jasmine for its beautiful, seductive fragrance. Nicknamed ‘queen of the night’ and ‘moonlight of the grove.’
