“Memories made in flip flops last for lifetime."

Today on the blog we have Joseph and Melanie who had a spectacular rustic lake house wedding this 22nd.  Their love story is such a treat to hear. And we managed to acquire some interesting stuffs for you after our small round of interaction with Melanie.

How you two met?

Joseph’s guitar classes used to run just in front of my dance school. We used to see each other daily, I used to like him from the very beginning, but I was confused about his feelings for us.

Who first proposed and how?

Well, as I told you I used to like him from the very beginning so I never used to take a single day off from my dance classes just to get a glimpse of him every day. I became habitual of seeing his cute face daily but then on a particular day I had to take a leave to visit my grandma who wasn’t well. What happened then was very resplendent! Joseph along with his best friend came searching for me at my grandma’s place, one of my friends in the dance school gave him the whereabouts. I saw him from the balcony and rubbed my eyes because that was just a dream come true for me. I ran down the stairs, we stared at each other for quite a while and he whispered “I missed your beautiful face today and so came searching you.” I won’t forget how stimulating that was.

When did you decide to get married?

It was after the lakeside vacations! We realized that we are made for each other and Joseph is the one I just want to stay in my life forever, so during one of our late-night conversations we shared the thought of getting hitched soon.

What were your plans for the wedding?

It was near the lakes that we decided to get married, so Lake House wedding became our pick for the venue. The calm lake, a romantic air, little lilies and the countryside ambiance is all you need to look into each other’s eyes and say “I Do”. Everyone among our friends and family was equally excited for the destination wedding near the unruffled lakes.

How was the wedding at Lake House?

To begin with, we sent Rustic Wedding invitations to earmark our day. I would love to mention that the cards came out really beautiful. Guests loved the colors and designs. For the décor part peach, cream, pink and yellow colors were our prime preference for the lakeside wedding. For the flowers, peonies remained my all time favorite; the beautiful bouquet of fresh peonies was seriously an art piece to flaunt while walking down the aisle.

We weren’t much worried about the seating arrangements for the guests because we knew they will automatically look splendid when placed near the lake and as always we were right, the photographs of guests seated near the lakeside has come out so beautiful! Must say we were lucky to have such cooperative bridesmaids and groomsmen. Lake House decorations were taken care by the bridesmaids and groomsmen well.

Any suggestion for the soon-to-be’s?

Just follow your heart while deciding the venue and theme. We followed our and we are really happy from our decision of celebrating a Rustic Wedding near the beautiful lake inside the tranquilized lake house.
