One of the biggest trends for 2013 (I believe) will be the magical experience of "butterfly releases".

Growing up I was always fascinated by the delicate beauty of the butterfly. As a little girl, you'd find me in the back yard with my net, trying to catch anything that flew by. I spent years reading books, researching, tagging them, and ordering all sorts of cocoons through the mail. I was so obsessed my bedroom was full of butterfly cages and you could hear the fluttering of all their wings down the hall.

Birdseed and rice have gone by the way ,for the most part, being to dangerous, unhealthy for the environment, and many venues will no longer allow it. Some locations are even becoming more restrictive with dove releases. And balloons simply and completely pollute the environment.

Not only does a butterfly release make a memorable and awesome impression, it raises peoples awareness of butterflies. In releasing them it actually helps to increase their numbers and there's no harm to venue, or environment.
