Wedding favors are a thoughtful way to thank people for attending your nuptials, but there's one major issue: most guests toss the favors, leave them at their tables, or don't end up using them. To eliminate this problem, it's best to give items that your guests will actually like, enjoy, and find useful.
Travel Candles
Candles are not only decorative, but quite useful in emergencies or to fragrance one's home. Give each guest a travel candle in a metal tin, or opt for miniature jar candles. You can add a personalized label with you and your spouse's names and wedding date, but a plain candle will still be very much appreciated by your guests.
A Bit of Libation
Those mini bottles of wine, spirits, and champagne that you can find in liquor and grocery stores make great wedding favors. Cover the manufacturer’s labels with your own or tie pretty ribbon around the necks to coordinate with your wedding colors. Who wouldn't love an addition to their home bar? This favor is one that will definitely get some use.
Something Sweet
Love is sweet--and so is honey--which makes it a wonderful wedding favor. You can either decant good quality honey into half-pint mason jars or buy small bottles by the case. Tie a bit of ribbon or raffia around the neck, attach a label or note for your guests, and they'll have something to savor once they get home.
Gourmet Treats
Another sweet that people tend to love—and quickly use—is candy. Choosing a selection of chocolates and toffees from Abdallah Candies And Gifts will ensure all your guests take home a treat they will love. You can either set the boxes at your reception tables or place them all in one area for your guests to grab as they leave the wedding. Boxed gourmet candies are very easy to coordinate with your wedding colors.
Travel Tags
Travel tags are affordable and can do double duty as place cards. While you could opt to coordinate with your reception colors, it's more practical to choose good quality tags in neutral or classic shades. Gift travel tags to your guests and they'll be reminded of your wedding day for years to come.
Use your creativity when thinking of what favors people will actually want to use or keep around their homes for years to come. Make sure your money is well spent by giving one of these favors to your wedding guests.
