Spring is here symbolizing new beginnings! Hooray! Nature’s divine palette of colors will be in full bloom once again. The botanical beauty of the natural floral arrangement for our senses to behold is breath taking. The sounds of birds singing again, butterflies will appear, and ahhh, I love the smell of morning dew. For my spring couples who are saying their nuptials next season, here are a few tips to consider:
- April showers bring May flowers: Even if you’re not having your ceremony outdoors, it’s a good idea to have plenty of umbrellas on hand. I’d advise purchasing at least 1 for every 5-7 guests (if your budget allows) in the event someone is without their own. Or have a few extra ushers to help get your guests in out from the rain.
- Bees love the spring and flowers. In fact they love you too! If your wedding is outdoors where flowers are going to be in abundance, be sure to have bug repellant handy for you and your guests. As an extra precaution, you may want to consider reminding your guests in an insert with their invitations that bees may be an issue and if they're allergic to take measures to stay well.
- To keep your allergies in check, keep over the counter antihistamine with you and have some available for guests placed in the restrooms or with your wedding planner.
- Avoid having outdoor wedding ceremonies and photo shoots in the morning when pollen counts are at its highest.
- If you have a wedding website, post weather related tips for your guests so that they can come prepared and be comfortable. This would be a special benefit to your out of town guests and they will very much appreciate it.
