Just because love is in the air does not mean you have to spend all your money on your honeymoon. There are a number of things you can do on a budget, like staying at stateside B&B’s. The following are four states offering all sorts of experiences worth considering.
You are bound to find interesting B&B’s in Montana that will allow you to explore the goodies here. There are a number of great museums around, but you should consider exploring the ghost towns left behind from the silver rush. This state is home to the Elkhorn Ghost Town and the Castle Town Ghost Town, just to name a few.
Another interesting state that flies under the radar is Kansas. Going to states like this allows you to not only find great tickets but to go to a place that is not too crowded. Kansas is home to all sorts of interesting things like the Oz museum if you or your beloved are a fan of the movie. It is also home to a giant Van Gogh painting in Goodland. Tourists also like to see the Garden of Eden garden sculpture in Lucas, which was made by an artist and his family. You can even see the artist in his glass coffin.
West Virginia is not a popular state visit, but it is a wonderful region full of wonder. All you have to do is choose centralized lodging that allows you easy access to the mountain side trains and the many maple syrup farms around the state. You get to try maple syrup right from the tree and enjoy it as a sauce or on delicious pancakes served around the state.
Mississippi is another state most people overlook, but there is so much to explore after you find a B&B that suits your needs. Those who love rock can simply go to Tupelo to pay your respects to Elvis Presley because you’ll see where he was born. Those who want a blast from the past may want to head to Toomsuba and check out the Simmons-Wright General Store, which pretty much operates like it did in the 1800s.
There is much to explore stateside if you give it a chance. There is a lot of charm left to explore and a lot to see with your beloved. Go ahead and make your honeymoon economical but unforgettable.
