2016 Wedding Photography Tips

A few tips for the brides to be.

Create and share a Pinterest board with your photographer. It is a good idea to share the style you like so we can capture and edit the image to your liking. Also be realistic if you share a Pinterest board, if you want the groom to lift you in the air like Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing then you should practice before the wedding date. We have some tricks to make the shot work but practice so you feel the moment. 

Write a list of the shots you want to have taken, but also tell the people in the photos to be available and ready at the specified times. Any delays in your schedule will postpone your photo session and result in a rushed shoot or skipping much wanted photos. 

Please, iron or steam the silk robes that say bride on them. They look great in the pictures but never make the album because they were all wrinkled in the photos. A photographer should be able to retouch them but it is a large task at times. 

Schedule your makeup session very early, another big delay for the photo session. Schedule time to take a break after makeup and hair so you can prepare and be emotionally camera ready. 

Take the engagement session photos, it is a great experience and a lot of fun. It will help you feel more comfortable in front of the camera on the wedding day.
