Bridesmaid Shoes

One huge pain in the rear end for me when I was planning my wedding was the bridesmaid shoes.  As a matter of fact, it was such a pain in the rear end, that I kept putting it off until the point where it was too late and I ended up just telling everybody to wear black shoes just to make it easy.

My Advice: Nip this problem in the butt ASAP.

Day of Etiquette for Bridesmaids

Hello Real Brides (and bridesmaids),

I was debating whether or not to write about this, but here it goes!

The purpose of a bridesmaid isn’t just to be there for your friend.  As a bridesmaid, you want to be as helpful as you can before and on the day of the wedding.  The last thing that you want to do is cause any further stress to the bride. Here are some things that you should and shouldn’t do on the day of the wedding.

Do not hog the bridal suite and the utilities in…

DIY Centerpiece

Okay, this is the last time that I am recycling the little round glass vase from the last two weeks.  It’s just that I love these vases so much because they work great as centerpieces and there is just so much that you can do with them.  For those of you who haven't read my blog, I like to create very simple DIY projects to leave room for creativity for the reader.

The dirt inside is called…

10 Ways To Enjoy Your Honeymoon

Here are 10 things (in no particular order) that will help you make the best of your honeymoon.  Enjoy!

10. Go somewhere that you both have never been before (even if it’s a small town).

9.   Get dressed up, at least for one night, and go to dinner (even if it’s McDonald’s).

8.   Rent a car and explore the sights together instead of on a tour bus with a lot of people.  If your driving there yourselves, your already ahead of the game.

7.  Pick a special drink that…

Finding the Perfect Bridesmaid Gifts

Finding the perfect gift for your bridesmaids isn't exactly the easiest thing to do.  What made it hardest for me was that I tried to get all of my bridesmaids different gifts that I thought that they would each like (because no 2 people like the same exact thing).  You could either do what I did, or you could just get everybody the same gift in case you are afraid that buying everybody something different could cause a situation of jealousy.

Another problem that I had with buying my…

Alternative to Diamond Engagement Rings

The emerald is known to be the sacred stone of the Greek goddess, Venus, goddess of beauty and love.  With something as beautiful and uncommon as an emerald, it's sure to have any girl be envious of having this engagement ring.  Although emeralds are a bit pricier than a lot of other stones out there, you can still get a nice one that is less pricey than a diamond ring.  If you want an engagement ring that tells your woman how truly beautiful you think she is, an emerald engagement ring is…

Nautical Centerpiece

This week for my DIY project, I am recycling the round glass jar from last week’s project and using it for this week’s DIY centerpiece.  These round jars can be found just about anywhere; Walmart, 99 cent stores or arts and craft stores.  The sand can be bought at Home Depot in a 10 pound bag for about $5.00 (pretty good deal I would say).  If you want the colorful sand, you could either make it yourself by adding dye to the sand you already have, or you could go to your local pet store and…
